Plant proteins are becoming more popular every day – and they’re most definitely gaining ground when it comes to market share. To focus our activities regarding this change in the market, we established the Future Food Group in 2019. This company concentrates exclusively on the food products of the future and specifically plant-based meat alternatives. Thanks to its development of various products and brands, the Future Food Group can offer its clients from the industry, foodservice and retail sectors a wide range of options to choose from.
We can see a clear shift going on in the market for meat products. A growing number of consumers feel the need to cut down on their average meat intake. Still, they don’t feel like sacrificing flavour and structure in the process – they want to retain that positive experience associated with sinking your teeth into a piece of meat.
Thanks to our many years of experience in the butcher’s trade, combined with our expertise and in-house R&D, we can offer a great programme of alternatives. Our production centre in Oss focuses exclusively on plant-based products: here, we investigate every option to realise new sustainable, high-quality meat alternatives. This sets our plant-based products apart from the competition.
All our products are rich in vitamins and are produced from EU-certified soy. However, we also offer products that contain no soy at all. Also, all our products are GMO- and gluten-free and are made via a sustainable production process: 85% of the power consumed during production comes from renewable sources. This way, we strive to bring a future-proof society one step closer.
Still, there’s another target group we should also pay attention to: the flexitarians. These consumers want to cut back on their meat consumption, without making any concessions in terms of the flavours and textures they enjoy so much. Hybrid products offer the solution. These products consist of 50% plant-based ingredients, and 50% meat – giving you the best of both worlds. Hybrid products offer all the food groups you need for a healthy lifestyle. At the same time, they optimally retain meat’s beloved flavour and structure. Hybrid products offer all the food groups you need for a healthier lifestyle. Ultimately, the meat content provides you with your required daily intake of iron and B vitamins, while the vegetables are good for your vitamins C and A.
A share of our plant-based range comprises organic products. This means that the raw ingredients for these products are nature-based and produced according to certified organic standards and that no artificial colourants, aromas, flavour compounds or other chemicals were added during production. The production process for our organic products is monitored and certified by the Skal Institute.
